Last remaining jungle activities and the start of our new theme

I'm a little behind, because it's been crazy busy these days.  We find ourselves over the hill most everyday, and unfortunately we are getting home late, which means, late dinner, late bedtime, and then I'm just too darn tired to try to do anything but fall asleep in front of the Andy Griffith show.  So this post is actually what we did Sunday.

Apparently Emily wanted to carry Jungle week on until the very end, as she woke up with much enthusiasm to do "ack-i-too-i-tees"  lol!  That's how she says activities. :)  I asked her what she wanted to do and she wanted to make animal plates.  My parents actually came up to visit that day so they were the lucky receivers of all the crafts Emily made.  :)   In other news, Alli shocked us all by wearing her left hearing aide for 6 hours!!  It probably helped to have grandma and grandpa around for distraction.  I'm so happy and feeling hopeful that she will wear them on a regular basis again.  I haven't tried the right ear yet, since that seemed to be the one giving her more trouble, but I will today since her speech therapist is coming this morning.  Keeping my fingers crossed for sure!

The first thing she wanted to do was make a
monkey

It seemed like Alli wanted to participate so I gave
her some a plate, and she chose to use black
I guess she wanted to make a gorilla.  :)

Keira was having fun watching and waiting for someone
to put their paint brush down.

We finally finished the snake we were working
on

Alli took off so Keira jumped at the opportunity
to eat paint

Pretty pleased with herself

Working on Alli's gorilla

Cutting out her monkey face

Almost done

Alli seemed like she wanted to do what Emily was
doing, so I gave her some paper and scissors

She doesn't know how to use scissors and won't
let anyone try and teach her, so cut some and
ripped some

Moving on to lion masks.  Keira just never understood
to use the part with the ink, she kept trying to color with
the lid.

Her "gorilla"  lol!

She's getting really good at cutting

ROAR!

Alli moved on to more important things

Working hard

She wanted to make a zebra next.  We had some
trouble with understanding how to leave some
white areas for the stripes, but we made it work.

She decided to add the monkey sticker for the mouth. :)

And then she moved on to our next theme.  Rainbows!
She's been very much into making pictures with the
colors of the rainbow and making rainbows themselves
so this next theme is right up her ally, and she is super
excited.
